BOWS FOR BIRDS WINTER SCAVENGER HUNT IN THE PARK
JANUARY 20-MARCH 10

A WINTER SCAVENGER HUNT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY TO ENJOY AT THE SCIOTO AUDUBON METRO PARK

Bows for Birds is a challenge that invites families to discover and explore the Scioto Audubon Metro Park while learning about and identifying bird species that exist year-round in Ohio. The public is invited to pick up a scavenger hunt form/map at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center's welcome desk which can be used to locate trees within the park marked with a large bows.  Once the tree with the bow is found, there will be an informative clue (on signage) leading participants to find a specific bird species nearby. There will be six hand-made painted, wooden cut-out birds (to scale/life size) installed throughout the park. PLEASE  SHARE  photos of the birds on social mediat at  (#cbusbows4birds) when they are found without giving away the exact locations to motivate people to get outside and find the birds! Individuals are encouraged to fill in a Scavenger Hunt Form listing the birds they found and matching them to the correct locations on the map. All correct entry forms turned in by March 10, 2024 will be entered into a drawing for a prize raffle at the conclusion of the event.
