Birdwatching for Beginners

Come and take a guided hike with our Grange Insurance Audubon Center Educators or Columbus Audubon Volunteers to see what birds you can find in your Scioto Audubon Metro Park each Saturday at 10 am. Of course, you're always welcome to enjoy a self-guided hike in the park during the Scioto Audubon Metro Park open hours, but our guided hikes will give you the basics of birding and help you learn about areas in our park that are great for birdwatching!

*** Please follow us on social media or check with local news stations for information regarding closings due to inclement weather, special events or emergencies. Thank you!

Come and take a hike with our center educators or Columbus Audubon volunteers to see what you can find on our center grounds and the surrounding Scioto Audubon Metro Park throughout the year. Meet at the front desk in the Grange Insurance Audubon Center.

* Please bring binoculars if possible. Binoculars will be available at the center if needed; however, participants will be asked to leave a driver's license with the front desk attendant while binoculars are on loan for the hike.
