Art at Audubon featuring Janette Knowles: Seeds, Sustainability and Svalbard

May 19, 2019 - Columbus, OH

No registration is required for this exhibit.

Come visit Art at Audubon's newest artists: Janette Knowles. Her body of textile work is developed from one piece made around the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, a structure on the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen in the remote Artic Svalbard archipelago. The SGSV was meant to survive nearly every global doomsday scenario and ensure the genetic viability of seed-based agriculture and food production. This exhibit is a celebration of the relationship between art and the natural world. The exhibit is available for viewing during our regular hours May 5th - June 2nd. The exhibit is free, donations always appreciated. For more information, please contact Kristina Rawson at 614-545-5477 or krawson@audubon.org
